Elcenia by Alicorn and Tethys is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License. Based on a work at elcenia.com. Permissions beyond the scope of this license may be available at http://elcenia.com/license.html. A few details/explanations about the license: It applies to the story itself, and to the information in the setting and cast pages, plus any artwork original to Alicorn and found on this site, and the code for the site itself. You can copy it and put it up anywhere else, or make a derivative work of your own using our ideas. However, you have to give us due credit, include a pointer to our site, and let other people in turn copy, distribute, and make derivative works of your derivative work, and you can't make any money off of it. Example: You can write Elcenia fan fiction, illustrate it with some of Alicorn's drawings (on your own server, please), append something like "Based on the story "Elcenia" by Alicorn and Tethys; drawings by Alicorn and used with permission. Original found at http://elcenia.com", and send it to all your friends. You may not write Elcenia fan fiction, forget the attribution and pointer, and sell copies for a dollar apiece while insisting that no one write fan fiction on your fan fiction. We prefer that you not engage in large-scale print distribution of our story without asking for specific permission. Small-scale printing (if you want to read in the tub, or hang a drawing up on your wall, or loan your luddite friend a piece of the story) is fine; just don't run off a batch of fifty copies and hand them out at a convention or anything like that. We will be thrilled to host fanworks here on our site, be they art, text, amateur dramatic production recordings, audiobook versions, the story in new and exciting file formats, abridgements, annotations, versions of the story with all of the characters speaking in different colors, or anything else you produce that you'd like to offer up to the Elcenia audience. General audiences material (anything not too much more adult than the story itself) can go to both of us. If you choose to submit derivative works of an adult nature, please direct them to Alicorn only, because Tethys has delicate sensibilities. Also, if you want said adult nature derivative work hosted here, you will please be so kind as to leave any prepubescent characters alone. Please remember that when various characters will hit puberty varies with species. The baby is off-limits unless your story is set in the Elcenian year 11380 or later, for instance.
